Week 7 Notable notes (1/25/20- 1/31/20)
- Lebron James scored 46 points vs his old team the Cleveland Cavaliers, scoring 21 points in the 4th quarter.
- Anthony Edwards (1 st pick) and James Wiseman (2 nd ) played their first game against each other this week with both scoring 25 points each.
- NBA All-Star fan voting has begun.
- Nikola Jokic scored 47 points to help snap the Utah Jazz 11 game winning streak.
2020-21 NBA Rookies
- LaMelo Ball (Charlotte Hornets) – The rookie point guard scored a career high 27 points in a victory over Milwaukee Bucks. Coming off that performance as well as an injury to teammate Terry Rozier, Ball was able to make his first NBA start Monday.

- James Wiseman (Golden State Warriors) – In a matchup vs 1 st overall pick Anthony Edwards, Wiseman scored a career high 25 points which help secure the victory. Wiseman did however suffer a minor injury over the weekend and will be out at least a week.

- Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves) – After a week of struggling to score last week, the 1 st overall pick has rebounded and played his best stretch of games so far. Edwards also made his first career NBA start as well over the weekend.

- Tyrese Haliburton (Sacramento Kings) – Halliburton struggled shooting from field Friday night but was able to seal the game with a clutch shot at the end. He also had a career high 11 assists in the same game.

- Cole Anthony (Orlando Magic) – Son of the former NBA player Greg Anthony, Cole Anthony scored a career 21 points in a victory over the Charlotte Hornets.
- Desmond Bane (Memphis Grizzlies) – Leads the NBA in 3-point percentage shooting 52%.
- Xavier Tillman (Memphis Grizzlies) – The 2 nd round pick has played a significant role with the Grizzlies and has started the last 3 games of a 7-game win streak..
- Michael Porter Jr (Denver Nuggets) – Breaking out in the NBA bubble last year, Porter Jr. has carried that momentum into the season and is looking like the star most experts thought he would be in college. Returning from Covid safety protocol, the 3 rd year guard had a great shooting night scoring 30 points vs the Dallas Mavericks.
- Christian Wood (Houston Rockets) – Not only is he the front-runner for most improved player of the year, Wood has been one of the best big men in the league overall.
- Collin Sexton (Cleveland Cavaliers) – Sexton continues to lead the Cavs in impression fashion and has led them into the playoff discussion early in the season. Look for the 3 rd year guard to be a border line All-Star pick.
