Magnetic Card Holder Guide: Which Size Fits Your Card?

Magnetic holders, also called one-touch holders, close with built-in magnets and give a card a clean, display-ready case. They are sized by the thickest card they hold, measured in points (pt). One point is 1/1000 of an inch.

Find the card thickness in points, printed on the back of many relic cards or on the pack, and pick the holder that matches. If the card is between sizes, go up one.

Can I put a sleeved card in a magnetic holder?

Max Protection Ultra Clear holders are made for a card in a penny sleeve. Many other brands are sized for an unsleeved card, so check the listing.

Magnetic holder or toploader?

A magnetic holder is a hard two-piece case made for display. A toploader costs less and is better for bulk storage and shipping.

How do I store magnetic holders?
